Rachel & Ben were married at the adorable White Pine Chapel in Ludington. Their reception was a small gathering of close family and friends at the Groom’s parents beautiful home just one block from Lake Michigan. We had such a wonderful time capturing their special day. Thank You Rachel & Ben for trusting us to create images to last a lifetime.

I walked in
and fell completely and utterly in LOVE.
I had the opportunity to photograph an event at the Newport Mansions in Newport, RI this past weekend. I was at 3 of the mansions. All are beautiful, but Rosecliff Mansion…oh. my. Simply stunning, unbelievable gorgeous. It has the largest ballroom in Newport and a heart shaped staircase (((sigh))). Not only is the mansion stunning, but the grounds themselves almost defy description. The back of the mansion has an incredible patio and the green sweeping lawn ends at the ocean. Parts of The Great Gatsby and True Lies were filmed at Rosecliff. Not only did I get to tour the house, but I was invited to join the group for a sit down lunch catered by the fantastic Russell Morin Fine Catering. Lunch was pure joy. Incredible food and great conversation. I’ll be able to relive that experience for years to come. If you are on thinking of having a location wedding I would HIGHLY recommend you call Newport Mansions and see if your date is available~~I’d be very happy to fly out and photograph your wedding :). Besides the wonderful food and lovely setting the staff of Newport Mansions was very accommodating and friendly. I want to give a big thank you to John Robbins, Kim, and Kelly for all the courtesies they extended to me.
The ballroom has huge french doors down both sides that can be opened up in the warmer months, the center of the ceiling is painted to look like the sky……
Check out the chandeliers–beautiful! See the set of double doors? Through those doors is where our luncheon was held.
Beautiful orchids were the centerpieces:
Delicious cauliflower soup–had NO idea how good it would be!
Lamb with brussel sprouts and sweet potato:
I have no idea what this dessert was but it was FANTASTIC–oh so very, very good! There is a scoop of yummy fresh fruit tucked under the dessert
I’ll try to post more photos from the event soon!

Ryan & Becky {Lundington Wedding Photography}
Michigan weather has been weird all summer long and the day of Ryan and Becky’s wedding proved to be no exception. An August wedding is usually sunny and warm, this August it was cold (in the 50’s) and rainy. They originally planned to get married on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, but since the weather didn’t cooperate they moved it to a pavilion at the park.
The weather, however, didn’t put a damper on the wedding atmosphere. Approximately 200 guests drove 3+ hours to attend the wedding and they were there to have fun and fun they had. The ceremony was lovely and the reception was a full blown out celebration. Their first dance was to one of my favorite songs, Lucky by Jason Mraz, and the bridal party dance really got things kicked off with I Got A Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas.
Ryan & Becky my wish for you is this Irish blessing:
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life’s passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
Thank you for trusting me with you day.
