HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Wishing everyone a wonderful New Year. May this year bring you only joy and happiness.

Just for fun..

On occassion, and if she is really bored, I can get Emma to pose for me. Over the holiday I persuaded her to sit for me…this is what I got…love that girl!

Dylan and Grandma showed up while I was shooting so they joined Emma:

Pets

I caught our ‘fat cat’ sitting on a posing chair I had in front of the backdrop. Couldn’t resist snapping a couple photos of Boomer. Tried to get our dog to sit up there as well with little success.

Winter Wonderland

We’ve been having our share of odd winter here in the north. Christmas Eve and Christmas it snowed, a lot! Saturday we woke to really thick fog and 40 degree weather. Today its 28 degrees, snowing and winds with gusts up to 40 mph. The last couple days it has just been a mix of everything.  I was really disappointed that the weather was so bad today because I had plans to visit my friend Beth in Ludington.  We were going to have a day of shooting, but it didn’t work out.  Check out her blog at: www.monsonphotography.blogspot.com  Beth is new to photography, but I know she is going to be wildly successful.

Here’s some of our crazy weather:

Here’s the pine trees in my front yard on Christmas Eve:

Here’s the same pine trees on Saturday with all the fog. It was hard to see the neighbors:

Emma took this photo on Saturday as we were driving to a family session. She has become a great assistant to have with me on shoots.

The dam in Falmouth…yes, even in the thick, thick fog people apparently like to go fishing….

One of my favorite photos from Saturday:

Really like this one as well:

In other news… On Friday night we came home from the movies (went and seen Marley & Me–very good) to find this critter by our front door. I thought Emma’s scream may have scared it off for life, but on Saturday it was still near our house. Any ideas on how to make this thing go far, far away???
